A few days ago Flogging Molly were touring Hamburg. Much to the joy of Bridget and Dave we settled down at St. Pauli Fanshop and talked them into a crisp unplugged gig. The present crowd had the chance to glimpse at what they could expect of the same night's concert - a hell of a show!
And now, ladies and gentlemen, please enjoy the old hands of Folk Punk :)

Being a vinyl lover, I had tears in my eyes when I saw this video. A record collection of 1 million LPs and 1.5 million singles is for sale and there's no one willing to buy it. And this doesn't seem to have changed for the 3 years the offer already stands. It's not only a matter of collecting vinyl: The biggest part of the collection never has been digitalised and is therefore in danger to become extinct if no one cares about it.
So if one of you out there is having 3 million bucks to spare, please save this cultural heritage!

Video: Yellow Ostrich: Whale
Sometimes things happen that appear almost supernatural, as occurred with this band. After many weeks of suffering a lack of lovely new bands I started listening randomly to whatsoever music came across my way and I found this splendid piece of an album.
In the middle of my portable music selection it popped up. Unnoticed, unseen and unheard. And there is every indication that this album waited there to be discovered for a couple of weeks already. Perfectly hidden between all the other well-known albums.
Well, you might not care less for it, but I’ve been so happy finding it that I don’t wanna keep it back from you.

Flogging Molly unplugged at St. Pauli Fanshop
Actually, we don't have a set date for it, but somewhen four years ago CORE TV started out and our first show went over the air. Since that day a lot happened and our trip through the world of music continues. Right in time for our anniversary we managed to get the most famous act for an acoustic set we ever shot. So, we're more than happy to present the old hands of Irish-Folk-Punk on December 1st - Flogging Molly!
As if that weren't enough:
Better, nicer, faster and above all in English! This might be the best way to describe what happened to our website. Right now you only see that CORE TV is now available in English, too - but down below so to say everything is new! If you like German better just click the German flag top right.
Well, see you on Thursday with Flogging Molly!

CORE TV is a music broadcast off mainstream.
Or in other words CORE TV is Eiko, Helmut, Juli, Henni, Rike and their VW bus - six music lovers who couldn’t stand the fact there is no good music tv, so they decided to take up their own format. About four years ago they started more or less willy-nilly, found a great way to pursue their own interest in good music and share it with other people. What started out small is by now a grown broadcast with more than 40 productions and regular tv appearances in cities like Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen.
You wanna know why every month the four work their butts off for free beside work? To be honest: when did you get to see music videos on music television last time? Right! Additionally, it’s so much fun being close to music, catching bands’ spirit and carrying it into the world.
Sure! We always appreciate beer donations no matter what brand. Because we all like beer. Speaking of which, if you like what you see please click the Like-button, leave a comment and share it with the world, so music television doesn’t have to die.
If you still feel the urge to help us we’re more than happy if you use the Flattr buttons.
CORE TV's website uses vintage guitars and equipment by Rückkopplung St. Pauli.
